Parkview & St. Moritz Strasse

After several conversations with Summit County there are still NO directional signs (stop or yield) at the intersection of St. Moritz Strasse & Parkview Drive. Please contact The County & express any concerns that you may have. I fear high speed on Parkview now that there is no stop sign is detrimental to those children walking to & from the bus stop. In addition, those driving up St. Moritz Strasse may collide with a driver on Parkview since neither have directional signs. FYI.

There is a stop sign up now on St. Moritz Strasse as of today, I am not sure this has improved things. I just watched two cars fly through the intersection at (my best guess) twice the speed limit. Sometimes uncontrolled intersections are safer because everyone has to be more alert.

I wish they would have put it back on Parkview. It’s difficult to get up that hill in the winter (even with the new grading, I’m sure it’ll be difficult). I hope folks driving down Parkview keep an eye out for folks trying to make it up on icy roads. I hope that intersection doesn’t end up with a bunch of stuck vehicles…we shall see I guess.

The street sign for our street, Parkview Cir, has been missing since summer 2013 construction. I have called the county a dozen times!. It does not seem to be a priority for the county but I see it as a public safety concern.
